Established in 2011, Five things on Friday is a weekly/occasional newsletter written by me, James Whatley.

It tries to be delivered to your inbox on Fridays but it often fails. Sometimes it arrives late. Sometimes it doesn’t arrive at all. But hey, it’s the thought that counts.

By day, I am an integrated strategist/planner working in advertising and communications. Often at the intersection of digital, entertainment, and brand.

Outside of working hours, I am a proud Dad, ardent gamer, and a regular roaster of potatoes.

As an interested human interested in interesting things, Five things on Friday is my way of a) collating the most interesting things I find on the internet and b) thinking out loud while reflecting on those things.

Along with work, life, culture and basically anything I feel like writing about.
